Govt invites institutions to register for ranking under NIRF

Quodsi everti ancillae vim qui lorem persius petentium Govt invites institutions to register for ranking under NIRF

New Delhi, Nov 2 (ENA)  Against the backdrop of the new ‘National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) that the government unveiled in September, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has set up a web based platform for institutions to register themselves.

The registration window is available at www.nirfindia.org from today.

“For the use of the participating institutions (institutes accredited/affiliated to the AICTE/UGC) a web based platform has been set up, in which the institutions are invited to register themselves,” an official release from MHRD said.

With an aim to promote excellence in education, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has launched a ‘National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)’ to rank higher educational institutions in the country based on objective, verifiable criteria.

The indigenous ranking system is expected to promote excellence in higher education in a competitive environment.  An independent and autonomous body will carry out the ranking process and it will be an annual affair.

As per the framework, institutions will be evaluated on five parameters – teaching, learning and resources (TLR); research, professional practice and collaborative performance (RPC); graduation outcome (GO); outreach and inclusivity (OI); and perception (PR) of end users. (ENA Bureau)
