NEW DELHI, MARCH 21 (ENA) To increase the MBA programme intake, Lucknow University is looking forward to raise the number of seats from this academic session. Hence the popular MBA programmes of the university might have additional seats this year.

The plan is to double the intake of the Finance Control MBA Programme. At present there are 60 seats in the programme that will possibly be increased to 120 seats.

The university is going to cut down the number of seats in the less popular management programmes. MBA in Retail Management and MBA in Corporate Management are some of the programmes for which intake might be reduced from 60 each to 30 each.

Vice-Chancellor S.P Singh said that the university has a balanced student-teacher ratio. For 540 students enrolled in various MBA programmes at the Lucknow University, there are 32 teachers contributing to a student-teacher ratio of 15:1.

The Admission Committee of the university will have the final say in the increment of seats in the MBA programmes in a meeting arranged for March 17 and 18.

The admission process will begin from March 20, 2017. From 2017, all admissions will be conducted online through the centralized admission process.

This is the first time that the university is implementing a completely online admission process. The registration for MBA programmes have already begun from March 20. Candidates looking forward to applying must check the official website of the university.
