Warangal, Nov 19 (ENA)  The 7th IEEE International Conference on Technology for Education will be held at the National Institute of Technology, Warangal in Telangana from December 10 -12.

 

T4E (Technology for Education) is an annual IEEE international conference on advanced learning technologies and pedagogy for technology-enhanced learning.  It will provide a forum to bring together colleagues interested in promoting learning and teaching through the use of technology and sharing the latest research results in this emerging interdisciplinary area, as per official data.

T4E 2015 is the seventh in a series of annual events with the first held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kharagpur, and Kollam in the years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, 2013, and 2014, respectively.

During the 3 day event academicians, researchers, practitioners and industrialists share their latest research results and experiences through paper presentations, workshops, keynotes, panel discussions and exhibitions. 

The areas of focus include, but are not limited to, the broad topics in the domain intersecting technology and education such as - Cognition and learning technologies, Role of cognition in education; Growth and impact of the Open Educational Resources movement; Techniques and standards for learning resources; Development of technologies to support education; Innovative use of ICT for content development and classroom use; Technology-based learning environments.

Discussions will also revolve around - Pedagogies for remote learning, e-learning, blended learning, and technology-enhanced learning; Curriculum design for technology-enhanced learning; Learning analytics; Assessment and evaluation models; Impact studies; Hand held device-based learning; Semantic web technologies in education; Adaptive, cognitive and personalized approaches for improvement of education; Impact of social networks on learning; Virtual/online experimentation and scalable solutions; Infrastructure for large scale deployment of e-learning; e-learning in vernacular languages; Game-based learning; Massively open online learning; and Bridging urban-rural gap in education.  (ENA Bureau)
